As a non-profit organization, you may elect to make a tax deductable donation to help defray the costs incurred during the adoption and home placement process for the pugs. Any amount, from a dollar to fifty dollars, can help defray daily costs of operations. Money collected is spent on veterinary bills, sterilization fees, or other special needs such as insulin, over-the-counter medicines, and hygiene products that may be required. Since everything humanely possible is done to help care for the pugs, there are occasional high costs incurred and ongoing medical costs often erode revenues. NIPRA also conducts various fundraising events to help raise money to care for the pugs. Candle sales, raffles, and other local events are always underway.
