Hospice Pugs

The following are NIPRA's hospice pugs. These are pugs who are elderly and/or have special needs which few people are willing to deal with so they have a special place in permanent foster homes with some of our wonderful members and volunteers. NIPRA will continue to support the medical needs of these special pugs for as long as they live. If you would like to sponsor one of these sweet pugs, please indicate the name of the Pug that you wish to sponsor on the
"Donations" page. If you are interested in becoming a hospice home, please fill out an adoption application and indicate "Hospice" in the comments section.

Yoda

Yoda is an approx. 9-10 year old girl who came to NIPRA in November of 2007. She has what is believed to be degenerative disc disease in her spine, which causes her to have some weakness in her hind end and has left her incontinent. She wears a diaper in the house and is on a prescription diet for urinary issues. Yoda cannot go up or down stairs on her own but she is still a very spunky girl who loves to play with toys. As her mobility decreases, she will most likely need the assistance of a doggy wheelchair. Luckily, a generous NIPRA supporter has donated a used cart that Yoda will be able to use when that time comes.

Sara

Sara is an approx. 13 year old fawn female pug with a very sweet disposition. She came to us when her previous owner had to move into an assisted living facility and could not take Sara along. Sara is house trained, loves people, and is very good at wagging her tail. She is very healthy & still kind of spunky for her age.
