Lilly is a very pretty 8-10 year old black female pug who came to Northern Illinois Pug Rescue from a shelter in central Illinois after her former owner passed away. She is a very sweet girl and gets along great with everyone that she meets. Unfortunately, Lilly came to us with large mammory tumors that were recently removed and graded as stage 2 cancer. She will be having more tests done soon to find out if any further treatment, such as chemotherapy, is going to be required. We will update as soon as we know more.
If you would like to make a donation towards Lilly's care, please click the link below or see our mailing address at the bottom right hand side of this page:
About Us
Northern Illinois Pug Rescue and Adoption, Inc. (NIPRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization staffed 100% by volunteers. We accept all purebred pugs into rescue, which we care for in private foster homes until we can find responsible new forever homes for them. Our pugs come from a variety of avenues including shelters, owner surrenders, puppy mills and even found wandering down the street. All pugs that come in are vet checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and treated for any medical conditions before the adoption process begins. Adoption fees & donations are used solely towards the support of the pugs in our care. Money is used for vet bills, medicine, food, toys, and other supplies. Absolutely NO money is paid to volunteers for salaries or mileage. Any extra funds are used for rescue efforts.
