Hospice Pugs

The following are NIPRA's hospice pugs. These are pugs who are elderly and/or have special needs which few people are willing to deal with so they have a special place in permanent foster homes with some of our wonderful members and volunteers. NIPRA will continue to support the medical needs of these special pugs for as long as they live. If you would like to sponsor one of these sweet pugs, please indicate the name of the Pug that you wish to sponsor on the "Donations" page. If you are interested in becoming a hospice home, please fill out an adoption application and indicate "Hospice" in the comments section.

Mae

Mae is an adorable little 11 year old black female pug who is blind due to previously untreated dry eye & ulcers. She will need to be on eye drops for the rest of her life, but is otherwise in good health. Mae can be very temperamental and will snap unprovoked (most likely due to her lack of vision). She was recently started on a medication that we hope will help to ease her anxiety and make her more happy.

Sara

Sara is an approx. 14 year old fawn female pug with a very sweet disposition. She came to us when her previous owner had to move into an assisted living facility and could not take Sara along. Sara is house trained, loves people, and is very good at wagging her tail. She is very healthy & still kind of spunky for her age.
